Eternal Winter

The snow covered our steaming bodies. Frightingly protecting the love housed by flesh and bone.

I was happy, elated really.

Feeling sacred and safe. Dealing only with the sinking heartless love bound by the Eternal Winter.

Our home was what the landscape offered. Seemingly positioned within a meticulously planned utopia. Reminiscent of a desert mirage, bypassed by drought and reciprocated by water turned to the white gold we called….snow.

Our love seemed seamless like the current of the air that hung above the clouds designating the curvatures of their movements.

He was the winter that brought me to the desolation I have understood and embraced as love.

We met in the summit, climbing to the desired destination that validated the world as we knew it.

  When we reached the coveted marker, we sat with silence. Knowing this meant that we had reached the pinnacle of whatever journey we mapped out.

The long way down was inevitable. As the clouds moved in…. I felt the breath leak from the body that I have relied on to reach what I thought would be the place in which we stayed.

The winter has settled in with the weather of the perfect storm. We slither into a slumber that resembles a picture of an ethereal enchantment. I am in love. Fully and decidedly. Encompassed by ideology free of preconceptions.

We travelled with guided clarity.

Found an idealist pairing. Superimposed on a canvas painted with the brush of genius.

Our love built a shelter, so strong to hold the fire that warmed our bodies and fed us. Night and day.

They never desired to want more than this eternal winter. Bliss.

The child came and with it an, unfamiliar scent of birth.  Winter melted to find a portal that may lead to choose a pathway tailored solely to what has become the sole purpose of the life given started in eternal winter.
