A PHANTOM TRACE
The dawn unfurls,
a silken sheet, as dreams,
like whispers, start to fleet.
A lingering warmth,
a phantom trace,
of your sweet presence,
time and space.
My mind, a house with winding stairs,
where secret chambers hold my cares.
The attic's hush, a shadowed dread,
where dusty memories lie unsaid.
I stumble, lost in dim-lit halls,
my footing falters, grace enthralls,
Yet, heavenly echoes fill the air,
a burden borne, a whispered prayer.
Demons may lurk, with shadows deep, but in your love, my soul I keep.
A golden thread, a path untold,
where glory's secrets we'll unfold.
If I could linger, lost in sleep,
where your soft presence I could keep,
I'd stay entwined, in slumber's hold,
but duty calls, a story told,
Another day, with you in mind,
a sensual echo, left behind.

Your poem titled " A PHANTOM TRACE " is a poem that describes the supernatural element inherent in life. The realities are apart from the make - belief world. Life does evolve into intermittent ways caught up in the aspects of time and space. These physical boundaries do disappear in the light of the oft - repeated historical reckoning.
The haunting stances get hold of life never allowing it to take a backseat. In the midst of shadowy ways, life is ushered into the light of faith and hope. The unsavoury kind of life is confined to the dustbin of history solely because of the enduring presence of the beloved by the side.
This revitalising experience lasts a lifetime like a reverberating chamber. Kudos to you for composing such a poem of outstanding nature.
