Heirs of History – The Final Chapter
Sabrina reclined on the couch, a glass of nutritional supplement in her hand. The glow of determination on her face was accompanied by an air of weariness. Two months into her pregnancy, her movements had become gentler, but her eyes radiated triumph.
The doorbell rang, breaking her reverie. She glanced toward the door as Fred, Joey, and their fathers, Nahiyan and Alex, walked in. Their faces bore expressions of seriousness and unease.
Fred stepped forward. "Hello, Sabrina. How are you feeling?"
Sabrina replied dryly, "I’m fine. How about you?"
Joey also inquired about her well-being, his tone tinged with hesitation. Nahiyan asked, "Dear, where’s your mother? We’d like to meet her."
Sabrina placed her glass on the table. "She’s upstairs, arranging my room. She’ll be down shortly."
Nahiyan and Alex watched Sabrina closely, their expressions a mix of astonishment and recognition, as if seeing a familiar face after ages.
Sensing their scrutiny, Sabrina asked, "Uncle, is something wrong? Why are you looking at me like that? Did I do something?"
Nahiyan hesitated. "No, dear. It’s just… your face seems familiar, like we’ve known you for years."
Just then, Monica, Sabrina’s mother, descended the stairs, muttering, "I don’t understand how kids make decisions these days." But as she reached the doorway, her gaze fell on Nahiyan and Alex, and she froze.
"You...?" Monica’s voice quivered.
Nahiyan and Alex stood, equally stunned. "Monica? Is that you?"
Monica’s face turned into a mix of anger and anguish. Turning to Sabrina, she demanded, "Why did you let these people in?"
Sabrina gently held her mother’s hand. "Mom, please don’t say anything."
But Monica’s anger flared. She faced the men. "Why are you here? To watch a spectacle? To torment me again? I’ve paid your debt every day of my life. But let me make it clear: I owe you nothing now."
Nahiyan folded his hands in apology. "Monica, it’s not like that. We’re here to ask for forgiveness. And I’m here on behalf of my son, Joey. He wanted to marry Sabrina, but now we understand everything."
The revelation drained the color from Joey and Fred’s faces. Nahiyan revealed the truth: Monica was the woman from his past, and Sabrina was the result of their relationship.
Joey, his voice trembling, said, "Sabrina… you… you’re our sister?"
Fred buried his face in his hands. "How is this even possible? We never imagined…"
Monica’s voice turned cold. "You both can leave now. There’s nothing for you here. And make sure Sabrina has no complaints in the future."
Nine Months Later – Hospital Scene:
Sabrina gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. The hospital room buzzed with joy. Alyan sat beside her, feeding her soup, while Monica cradled the baby with love.
Just then, Sinan entered with a file, his face tense with concern.
Alyan teased, "Oh, look, Sabrina’s daddy! What’s with the worried face?"
Sinan handed the file to Alyan. "Here, take a look. And who’s Sabrina?"
Monica smiled. "Alyan named her Samrina. She says it’s a tribute to the fruit of her friendship with Sabrina."
Alyan opened the file, and moments later, she screamed with joy. "Sabrina! Your DNA is in this baby too. She’s not just mine—she’s yours as well!"
Sabrina, stunned, asked, "How is this possible?"
Monica, her eyes brimming with tears, replied, "Dear, history is repeating itself."
Five Years Later:
Five years passed. Sabrina, Alyan, and Sinan became accomplished doctors. Their hypothesis had been disproven through their groundbreaking experiment, yet their names were etched into textbooks. Sabrina and Alyan married Sinan and, along with Samrina, had two more children, all carrying DNA from both mothers.
One day, the trio vowed to inspire their children to become doctors so they, too, could disprove theories and leave their mark on history.
"Distances vanished as we dreamed,
We found our destination where we lost ourselves."
