It was raining. It was the kind of rain that soaks you to the bone. I had my hands inside the pockets of my coat. I walked along the deserted road, no destination really in mind.
I looked up when it felt like someone or rather something was watching me. Off in the distance, there was a cloaked figure standing alone, illuminated by the only street light on this block.
He looked up and my heart started beating fast. There was no face to this person, just an empty shell of a human being. Fear was clearly written all over my face, and then the hooded figured laughed.
I turned around at this point and started walking in the opposite direction. I picked up my pace when I could hear footsteps close behind me. I looked behind me and that wad a mistake! The hooded figure was only inches behind me and a face finally came into view. It was demonic, nothing of this world.
He reached out and grabbed me and I screamed.
I was falling now, falling down an endless pit of despair, wanting to find my way home. I looked up and there he was again. He was staring at me, his arm outstretched, trying to grab ahold of me.
I blinked my eyes and I was in a room. It was purely white, it had a heavenly feel to it and I relaxed. A white figure floated down from the ceiling, a pair of white wings attached ttheir back.
It was a woman. She smiled at me and held out her hand and said, "It's time baby," and then I realised it was my mother. I smiled as I reached out my hand and took hers in mine.
We started floating, floating into the heavens and I realized, I was finally going home.

I love this piece. A time of reckoning with Heaven or Hell and the time of judgement can be at hand for many. Very soothing and anxious piece. Good job
