I am, My soul is

Two years coming to a close and it still feels like yesterday, but at the same time so long ago. I think it's because the mind and the heart grow faster than the soul. The soul is steady, it is made with no doubts and consumes what it's meant to with no questions. That must be why it's so hard to let go 100%. Because once someone makes it into your soul they stay there.

If my soul is a never-ending and your soul is a never-ending and they meet as one soul, it will forever be because a soul doesn't know what backwards is. And if I am comfortable and at peace and understanding in my soul, then there should be no worries. Souls are drawn like magnets, you can't help them you can't hurt them they just are. So if my mind gets caught up and I lose myself because I'm competing with the old me because I was attracting all that I wanted to be I have to STOP.

That was the old me, it's not bad because I was just being me. Attracting all that I've learned and all I've applied. But it's the old me for a reason, I had to be that person at that time in my life for the people and situation God called me for. Too much time has passed for me to keep chasing that woman. Time to live as I really am again, not better or worse, just the same me playing in a different meadow of life. Sometimes good things happen and they leave and we make the mistake of chasing that old self so we can have those good things back, especially if we know they were meant for us.

But God's plan isn't for us to change us, it's for Him to change us. If our soul is consistent, then the rest of our being should be as well. Not every good thing will last forever, but the right things will. And you'll know it because your soul holds all that is attracted to it. The soul doesn't work hard, it simply is. It wants with no greed, it is a gentle attraction of desires. The soul knows not to reach out far but hears from far away. Somehow without effort, that path is cleared through the crowd and without a race of the feet or the glance at a clock they make their way around until they get to each other.

The soul says, I'll get there when I get there, because they know they don't have to jump through hoops or hop over bars to connect to what fits. Souls are already matched up from the time we were created, but our hearts have to learn and grow before they listen to what the soul says. Once we connect back with our soul, we will never stray from it, because there lies who we purely are.
