Infinity

The sun just barely set, still subtly spreading light across the sky. I stare up into the sky, thinking, my mind racing the wind carrying through the air. My eyes reflect the soft blue coat of the sky above.
My mind paces through the wind, carrying me through the sky at light speed. The light fades. The blue shades into a blackness, although splattered by twinkling starlights. I’m carried through space. Past Earth, my home. Past the infinite number of brightly burning stars. I see the universe at light speed, but somehow I’m able to take it all in. I feel swallowed in dark space, while also comforted by small twinkles of starlight. Outer space is cold, but I feel warm. Warm, except for a faint breeze on the back of my neck. I keep traveling, seeing everything in the universe. It’s all so bright, but my eyes stay wide open. I don’t want to miss a second of it. It’s all here, and it’s all so beautiful. I see an infinity of space, yet I commit it all to memory like it’s all that matters. Each star, each burning bright light, it’s a piece of my heart that I hold inside me as my light, so I don’t get lost. Lost in this infinite trip. I fly. I pass an infinity of universes. So much is right in front of my eyes, until darkness overtakes me, and there’s nothing but pitch blackness. I’m lost for a moment, my eyes shut for the first time, seeing a whole new darkness. I open them once more and see an infinity of universes, light scattered around me like nothing ever seen before. It’s all here. I’ve seen it all. I feel happy, satisfied, comforted.
The wind takes me back. Back to a reality. The darkness tints into a light blue once more. I’m back. And I’m staring into the eyes of my true love. The bright blue eyes that hold an infinity. She’s so beautiful. And I love her an infinity.
