Joe & Mr. Morris

There was a splendid restaurant where the rich folks went every night down at the corner of the street. It had the best food and wine to offer and what is more they had a wonderful violin player who would play to his heartâs content while the people enjoyed themselves all night long. A mister Morris ate there every night and while he wined and dined he would love to listen to Joe playing the loveliest tunes for all to see and hear. It made his night out on the town a very special one and although Mr. Morris was rich and Joe was just a poor musician; he used to tip him handsomely every night before going home to his wife and children. As such the two men became quite good friends and Joe would play at his table frequently while he enjoyed his food and drink to lovely music of the night. One night Joe said to his friend, âI wish that I was a rich man like you Mr. Morris. Then I would not have care in the world. But I am just a poor violin man with never a cent to his name.â âAlthough you have no money we are both rich men Joe,â said his friend âFor to have the love of music in your heart and make others happy with your great talent is the one of the greatest riches of all. Truth be told you will always be richer than a rich man my friend.â He said with a smile on his lips. And the two friends loved and lived in that charming little place until the end of their days. With beautiful music in your soul it will always be love over gold. Love is the music of life.
