The Librarian
The library is said to be haunted, it is more than one hundred years old.
The voices of violent pain remain in the upper level of the building.
It was created by a teacher, a professor of science a decade ago.
Long ago in the upstairs attic of the library meetings were held.
Meetings and discussions of premeditated murder.
Led by the professor, his study was what he called "the meeting of the minds".
A very prominent lady ran the library, she was often called "the bookworm".
Then mysteriously she was no longer there one day, the towns people thought she had moved away.
All of her belongings were packed up as though she was going on a trip.
The library continued to run for years by local volunteers.
One day a student visiting, went upstairs knowing the attic was now a museum.
The museum had artifacts and books dating way back when.
The student entered, the trap door shut below her, she screamed but no one could hear.
There were jars and jars of brains on display among every shelf on the walls.
On the middle laboratory table was the head of a woman.
The head began to speak, the young student in shock stopped screaming.
The woman's head was the missing librarian, who found out about the cruel things in the attic.
The late science professor who built the building performed a hideous act.
Once the librarian had discovered these most cruel and morbid actions, her plan was to inform the police of this illegal brain study.
The professor could not have this, his study was way too advanced.
He was trying to find the perfect brain and clone it, he thought he had finally found it.
All of the brains were from students who went to a nearby college who came to the library weekly.
The professor would lure them up to the attic with his clever scientific way. He would offer them a drink with a sleeping possion, they would never awaken.
He made his own guillotine and would lay their body just right, pulling the cords with all of his might. With the sharpest blade it did deliver then sliver and slice.
He would sever their necks, the bloody massacre indeed, then he surgically removed their brains and perserved them pickled with embombing fluid.
His plan was to research their brain and find the one with the highest quality of perfection.
Years later when visiting the library, an article described his death by hanging himself.
It's told his grave is just a mile down the road from the library. He insisted in writing before he claimed his own death, that his tombstone face the library.
The story has it, that you can still hear the chopping sounds and screams above the lower level of the library.
When you enter the library there is a sign that says "Please check in with the librarian before entering the Museum of the Minds".
The new Librarian has no written documents, no birth certificate, license, or any form of identification.
They hired her knowing these things, but what they didn't know is that she is the living dead.
Controlled by the mind of the dead professor, as he faces the library day and night.
Until he rises again, while his great great nephew takes over, and his study continues.
His haunting legacy and gruesome study of the brain, will live on.
The new Librarian is the clone of the past, and the present, the study of the mind remains.
The bodies of the headless students is still a mystery, though it has been said, that on Halloween night you can see the ghostlike images walking down the streets, wearing bags over their stumped bloody necks as heads.
