ANNALYN G. MERCADO - LITERARY CONSULTANT from  Philippines.
Annalyn G. Mercado, a distinguished poet and educator from the Philippines, has been appointed as the Literary Consultant from the Philippines for all books by Williamsji Maveli. This new role further highlights her international standing, alongside her recognition for profound verses and tireless advocacy for autism awareness.
Her exceptional contributions were recently celebrated at the Asia's Golden Legacy Awards on December 8, 2024, where she was bestowed with the titles of Asia's Distinguished Educator and Global Advocate for Autism, alongside the prestigious Seal of Excellence in Literature, Poetry, and Advocacy. Further cementing her impact, Ybarra Scholars and Fellows conferred upon her the honorary degree Doctor of Humanities in Social Community Development (DHum, honoris causa), acknowledging her outstanding contributions to education and community service.
Born on July 10, 1975, in Barcenaga, Oriental Mindoro, Annalyn's roots are in education and public service, as the daughter of a retired high school teacher, Venancia F. Gonzales, and the late Florante R. Gonzales. Her personal journey, marked by her son's autism diagnosis, profoundly shaped her advocacy. Her husband, Melchor P. Mercado, an Overseas Filipino Worker, returned home to support their family following this diagnosis.
Currently a Teacher III at Camp Vicente Lim Integrated School in Calamba City, Laguna, Annalyn has dedicated 18 years to public education. Although initially discouraged from writing poetry by her father, her adolescent love for reading eventually led her back to her passion. Despite earning a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1996, her mother's encouragement following a Rheumatic Heart Disease diagnosis and job rejections guided her towards teaching. She completed her education units and passed the Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) in 2003, majoring in English.
After two years in private education and a period as a substitute teacher, Annalyn secured a permanent public education appointment in 2006. Her pursuit of a Master of Arts in Education was put on hold when her son's diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Seizure Disorder ignited her unwavering commitment to advocacy.
After a 26-year hiatus, Annalyn returned to creative writing during the COVID-19 pandemic. What began as personal expression quickly evolved into a platform for global recognition, as she joined Filipino Poets in Blossom and various international poetry communities. Today, she serves as one of  an administrator for the International Academy of Cultures and Literature (IACL) and the Pundit Society of Literature, and as one of the advisers  the Glory Future Foundation.
Her poetry has graced numerous local and international platforms, including Daily Global Nation, The Pencraft, Amaravati Anthology, and How to Write for Success Magazine for Alor Sandhane Magazine. My contribution was a collaboration with a Pakistani poet but it's only his name which was included in the table of contents of authors.

She has also contributed to the international compilation “Poetry for Children.” Her literary prowess has earned her titles such as Ambassador of Peace and IACL Ambassador from the Global Writers Academy.
