Midnight

Midnight

When I look up at the stars, I see things that aren't real. I see my
uncles and my grandfather laughing. I see me and you. Looking out
past all of the things happening. I'm not going back in time to see
and watch what you did to me. And what I did to you. I'm done
fighting for something that isn't there. Midnight falls and the
fireflies are lighting up in the night. Well, you and I sleep their
spirits are flying around trying to find one other. Midnight falls
when you can only hear the cricket speaking to one other. When the
stars shine so bright and the moon tells a story. About how he can't
see his lovely wife. When he was sent to watch over her from above.
When he can see that it's not fair to watch the love of his life die.
Looking up for a new life. I tell this story for you can understand.
I look at what can be; not what was. I think and I move in the clouds
and I'm getting good at it. Midnight falls and my heart is the same
you say you love me but, do you. Can I explain how I feel no. You see
a person that smiles when they are down. And fights for what they
want! Can you see me. Midnight falls when my hearts cry’s out to
you. When I look at you but it's like you don't see me. You look at
the person next to me and judge them. What do you see in me? Why
don't you care? When will you start to care? How can you do this to
me? Unanswered question and still the midnight falls. And you still
don't care. Now looking into the future but I don't see you in it.
Midnight falls and my heart can't take this no more!!!!!!! The night
has fallen and you have failed this round. Midnight falls and you
have done it again. Hurting my heart and killing my hopes and dreams.
You have crushed me and I can't do nothing about it. It's all because
when you wanted to go off and do you. You failed and messed it all up
because when the midnight falls so did you!
