POEM REVIEW " SOLITARY SOUL

Solitary Soul
*
A captive soul, a stranger's guise,
A silent stem 'neath alien skies.
A sacred birth, a dreadful fate,
A cosmic dance, a mournful weight.
Oh, kindred spirits, distant stars,
A fading gleam, a cosmic scars.
The ocean's roar, a tempest's might,
A lonely soul, a darkened night.
A poet's heart, a bleeding pen,
A mortal coil, a cosmic den.
No earthly solace, no divine grace,
A lost love's echo, a vacant space.
A fleeting glimpse, a haunting dream,
A spectral dance, a mournful theme.
-WILLIAMSJI MAVELI
WILLIAMSJI MAVELI Ji,
Your poem titled " Solitary Soul " is a poem that expounds the idea that the bitterest thoughts would make the most significant poetry. The soul that is in thrall, makes a valiant attempt to break free from all the shackles and clutches placed on his/her shoulders. It is an unfreedom condition born out of poet's despondency owing to the perceived decline of his/her poetic strength and vitality. Still, the poet gets into a domain of poetic agony and pain which can be described as something, each and every poet faces upto in his/her life. When the poet is in creative anger, the exquisite poetic works are brought to fruition. Kudos to you for composing such a poem of outstanding nature.
