High upon a hill I see
My own redemption right in front of me
How long I've waited to be free
And see the future you planned for me
(Real love is within a redemptive power. And there is an unknown power that eventually transforms individuals)
My trial has taught me of your grace
And the awesome beauty of your face
A fire so hot I couldn't see
That you where standing right in front of me
(By the power of your love we will break down under the load. That’s love, it is redemptive)
Ten long years is what it took
To change me from a babbling brook
Into a river flowing wide
With all the wisdom you placed inside
( There is something about love that builds up and is very creative. There is something about hate that tears down and is destructive. Hence give love in abundance)
After all the courage you've given meÂ
It's now the time, Â you've set me free
To teach others of this place
Where I learned to find your grace
(Wrong deeds that had been realized as once forgiven in the past and yet repeating the same wrong deed again is transgression which cannot be forgiven)
I'm sold out and prisoner of
All your promises and all your love
Nowhere can you ever go
That this river doesn't flow
( These lines are highly appreciated by me, so powerful and expressive in its depiction, my applause, my love)
A strong tower, built to stand
Nowhere near shifting sand
Gods my refuge and my strength
And to him I will always look
(It is never too late to repent and ask God to forgive us our sins. At the same time, forgive those who have harmed you and be free of bitterness and resentment)
I trust the words wrote in his book
Because Gods word has never failed
But with my eyes I could not see
Only with the faith you've given me
(True, God's words never go wrong and it is always the strongest and most pwerful in terms of love and life)
A tempest though this life may be
I have made it thru this stormÂ
Even though many have tried before
To walk on water With my lordÂ
(Many times, resisting sin seems as difficult as walking on water, the stanza is superb in its depiction, my applause to Honorable Poetess Sarita Melton)

BETWEEN THE LINES
Sinful feelings, sinful expressions and sinful performance bring death. The soul that sins will die in the spiritual realm. Such a soul cannot experience the presence of God. This is God’s law. There are two kinds of wrongs. One is sin and the other is transgression. Sin is some mistake we do unknowingly. Transgression is wrong deed which we do with full knowledge. A good act does not wash out the bad or a bad act the good. Each should have its own reward.
Our Lord forgives not only the things that we do without our knowledge but also the things that we do willingly and grants us forgiveness of sin. God creates out of nothing. Wonderful you say. Yes, to be sure, but he does what is still more wonderful: he makes saints out of sinners
Please accept my congratulations for sharing such an amazing verse to us, May God bless your strong pen,
Regards & Love

Honorable Poetess Sarita Melton,
Thanks for your comments, I really appreciate, among your poems, thie above one is the best, hence I selected this, however, I promise, I shall appreciate and review your other poems as well, May God bless your Pen,
Our day-to-day life does not always bring contentment and pleasure. Sometimes we suffer greatly and other times we have a magnificent time. We are easy to say that someone didn’t deserve the misfortune that befell them. However, we could also say that we do not deserve the fortune that befalls us. As a matter of fact, I would dare say that we more deserve the “bad” things than we do the “good” things.
We would find that we deserve nothing from God and the only thing that we ultimately deserve is death. This is because all humans are sinners by nature. Our first disposition is against the way of God. Yet we still feel that we deserve to have a good life.
Love & regards
