Public school tax (PST) recommended by Dr. Baljit Singh

Public school tax (PST) recommended by Dr. Baljit Singh
To revive the economy, RBA intervenes, we agree. If there is a catastrophe, we all help financially, physically, and emotionally, we agree. To conduct social welfare and developmental schemes, we tax wealthy more, we agree. It is perfectly all right; we give unemployment allowances to unemployed. We pay pensions to the retirees.
New system
We may like to devise a new system whereby people who have capacities to pay for the development of the public school their children go to, shall be able to contribute graciously, the way private schools charge handsome amount of tuition fee. In other words, parents should be able to contribute some amount of money determined by the government officials to the infrastructural progress of the public schools everywhere in Australia to which their children go. This way, facilities offered by the public schools shall improve every year through the multiplier effect leading to comparable standards to private schools regarding attractive education school facilities, for example, a good playground, their school building, also; teaching orientations, shall improve their status.
But it is written in the constitution that public schools are free, how can you do that
Historically, legislations have been amended time-to-time to cater to the needs of the people. In economics, there is no free lunch. It means that there are opportunity costs for every activity. Private schools in Australia raise lots of money via tuition fee and provide better school education facilities to children and parents are attracted to them. Public schools operate on the amount, given by the government. If we do not contribute towards improving the look of the public schools, then, children will have a lesser quality of school facilities available. Private schools do not provide free education; most politicians and professionals send their children to the best schools, in India or Australia. Nowadays, looking at the Western World, many developing countries are naming their Schools Grammar School. This way, they can attract more funds.
The perfect school
The perfect school by definition to our mind has a good inner and outer look with good education and teaching ranking. Public schools compete based on teaching and exam results given their similar infrastructural facilities. Public schools do not beg; they live in whatever provided by the government. If we change their status from public to private, they should be able to accumulate lots of money, just within days, as private schools do. This way, they too would have everything they feel they are lacking.
We amend the law
We amend the current law on free education to this. Education in Australia shall be provided free to those who do not earn much, but those who by the government’s definition can pay shall be made to pay accordingly. The public school education shall remain free for many children, but parents who can contribute by definition of their annual income shall happily be contributing once this system commences, all over Australia.
All concerned entities principals, parents, teachers, and students shall begin to realize that contribution also made by Principals, parents, teachers, and businesses shall see a quicker improvement in school facilities. The contribution made by us has to be decent in a sense, that, we need not want to let people say, we pay taxes. The contribution has to be through government system, paid (or contributed) respectfully.
It is our country, our schools
The whole economy runs through the redistribution of income process, why cannot public school run this way. If in catastrophe, we require health treatment – direct service to people, what do we do? Do we raise the income of the doctors? Doctors are dedicated people towards their profession. If more people cannot afford to buy food in Australia, what do we do? We act accordingly. My point is to reshuffle the amount of money and spend where required; we cannot leave Australian public schools less than, the private ones.
