Story -

Savior on the Street

Her eyes scanned the church, but all she saw only made her more sad, their halo's were disgusting, riddled with darkness, dirty souls, she thought she would find a pure one here, the one who was to save them from their doom as the prophecy said, but all she was seeing made her want to say her last wishes. If she couldn't find him in the church then where would she find him?, in the streets?,   "hmm", she breathed a sigh of defeat, wondering how she was going to go back to the Leaders and explain her failure.

That made her angry, it wasn't her fault that they were all contaminated, she had searched everywhere she thought she could find good humans, name it; churches, charity centers, childcare centers, everywhere, but the were all pitiable, disgusting excuses for good. That was the last of them in this land and yet she had yet to find the one.   "Well, there is nothing i can do, i have to go back and tell the leaders i failed, that ought to be pleasant.."  she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Dawn wondered why the oracle chose her to go with the others, it had been on her mind since she left home, especially due to the circumstances with which she was chosen. the Conveyor had come in just as the chosen hunters were about to leave and had said one word; her name "Dawn" then motioned for her to follow them, everyone was confused, most of all, she herself as she did not want to go with them.

Then her mother, with tears in her eyes, asked  "But, Your Worship, It cant be..." she just wanted to be left alone with her daughter

The conveyor just glided away saying   "The oracle says so"

"Why did it have to be me?"  she was bridling with anger, as she passed through a site, she looked at the humans moving something around on the ground like they were searching for something, that made her more angry  "hmph, i hope you do find what you're looking for" and was about cursing the oracle when she felt a strong pull, she stopped, shocked, Could it be?, she could breathe in the scent, it was so strong, so beautiful, so good, so pure, it was the indication of what she'd been searching for; the one.

She turned and she didn't have to search to find him,she saw his spirit, it was bright and glowing, almost as bright as theirs, she had never seen it before in  a human their spirituality was always messed up with evil one way or the other, the pull was getting stronger, she was moving towards him, she couldn't help it, especially since she wasn't expected to, she moved closer.

His spirit was pure, that was all she could look at, feel, for the moment, she wanted to absorb him, be wrapped in the purity and right that his spirit exuded. And it was strong, she felt the strength of a thousand giants and more, she felt anger against his world; humans, he hated their deeds, but yet she felt love for them, as she wondering how one could love and hate one thing at the same time with so much passion, she was swept into a wave of tranquility directly from him, it seemed to speak to her, telling her that all was right. it was like she was in a trance, it was too perfect, then rationality came back and she wanted to snap out, reminding herself that she had to go back and report to the Leaders, but she waded right back into the trance, his spirit telling her to be patient.  She felt it all, from him; love for his creator, she wondered if they had the same creator, and his spirit told her that they did, that only one creator was capable of creating something so wonderful.

She opened her eyes, shocked to find that she had been closing the and she looked at his spirit again, and she could see the love and most importantly Truth embedded deep within. She couldn't get enough of the joy his spirit gave her though she knew she was never unhappy, but she remembered they would be waiting back home, she had already wasted enough time, the others must be back already

Then she looked at his human form, his human vessel, the carrier of such a wonderful thing, and she gasped..... he was beautiful, magnificent. he had a sturdy build, thick dreamy hair and a pretty face that would make the creator proud, then he turned in her direction and spoke to another human, and she saw his eyes, they were the eyes of a leader, a guardian, a servant and a lord, she knew she had found their savior, the one who would save them from impending doom, she was certain she had found him and he was every bit as glorious as his spirituality.

As she turned to go she said   "I found him on the street afterall" she chuckled  "not in one of those churches" that made her laugh
