Stormy god

(I wrote this at 4 am while listening to this song and sitting by my window where it was heavily pouring. Please listen to the music while you read)
There once lived a man saved Samuel. Samuel lived a very simple life as a barista. Everyday, the same routine. Get out of bed, find matching socks and lay them out on the bed, start his morning coffee, brush his teeth, shower, put on his black t shirt and drove to work. He would return home around 9 pm every night, just to repeat this routine. His life was boring. He was getting tired. Very, tired. He grew so tired that his customers began to notice a change in his quality of the coffee he made. Months passed, and his coffee shop was put out of business. Devastated, Samuel sat. He had not left his bed for days. Rent was overdue. He had looked overly deprived of sleep when there was a knock on his door. Lazily, he dragged his feet out of bed to reach the door, only for there to be no one there to greet him but the rain. A flash of lightning struck the tree in his yard just as he turned to close the door and head back into his slump. He felt a force tugging at him as lightning remained flashing in the air. Step by step, he made his way outdoors into the pouring rain. The light above him grew brighter and brighter and he began to walk towards it unmindedly. He felt his weight suddenly disappear as his feet hovered above the ground and into the air, as if towards the light. He felt free. He had flashbacks of his life. From when he was just a kid and began laying out his socks every morning. From when his family sang him happy birthday every year, and when his sister would make him coffee and pancakes every morning. From when he fell in love with the girl in his math class. From the heartbreak, to the joyous, he saw it all flash before his eyes. He was then greeted by the storm himself. He was free.

Hi Mira! I hope you have been well! It's awesome to see your talented work back on Cosmos, or is it me who has been away? Lol. Anyway, I just wanted to say what another awesome self-expression. I read your story and for some reason, it really connects with me. It makes me feel so grateful for what I have, what I once had and what I have experienced. Such a genuine emotion in this that sticks with the read and looms once you have read it. A very unique skill that only a few poems full envelop. I enjoyed this one wholesomely Mira, and by the looks of it, you also have fun writing it. Powerful poetry.
yeah, I had some problems with mental health and took a break, but Iβm back! Thank you very much, I never realize my writing has this type of effect
