At first my passion in life was to become a film director. But, destiny has made me to go for writing Reports, Criticisms on literature, movies, scripts, poems, stories and anything to which I get hooked up.This series of write-ups, starting with the initial planning for a short film until its completion may be used as a study material for those who are intending to shoot a short film.
Welcome to my write-up titled "Behind the Screen" on short Film-Making. If you are a regular person with no formal training in the movie production, and science and art of creativity of film-making, but want to either make a film, or participate in any activities related to films in an open and wide frame, then, you have come to the right place. I will highlight everything you need to know in order to be ready to start thinking seriously about making a short film, using the digital medium. This write-up is only partially complete, and will continue to be updated as I gain further experience and get more time to continue writing on this subject in this columns. Later, I intend to publish these short writings into a book with a title "Behind the Screen". Happy reading and moreover a happy filming your stories or ideas. This is the first time script developed by Williamsji Maveli based on the Poem titled "Love Comes Alive " written by Poetess Cherie Sumner. This script will be posted in STORY LINE, the column write by writer Williamsji Maveli. This part of the script is based on Cherie Sumner's FIFTH stanza of the poem which is as below. Overall there will be eight scenes broken according to eight stanza's of the poem Readers may visualize the script which is made for a short film. Readers views are most welcome. Scene : Five
Our passion consumed us both, and we were unable
To resist temptation, so we cleared off the art table
In one long sweep, paint and brushes spilled on the floor
With reckless abandon, our love’s needs did implore
Scene 5:
Description:
The scene five is mainly indoors, except TAKE NOS 8 to 10 . When the camera opens its eyes, both the Lover boy and the Girl are on their bed. They are in half nude. They are enjoying their second life.Â
Take 1:
Indoors
Lover boy is lying on her lap. He is taking rest. Girl offers comfort and love to the maximum. His love towards her is also immense.
Take 2:
Indoors
Fade in
Camera takes different images of their facial expressions.
Cut to
Take 3:
Indoors
The painting, The canvas is on the focus. Close up shots. The face of the Lover boy is half complete. Mix the images with the real lover boy. Flashes. Shots after shots.
Take 4:
Indoors
She moves towards the canvas. Her dress is casual. Colors scattered in an around her face, breasts, lips. She is totally involved in the painting work in a very devoted way.
Take 5:
Indoors
The Canvas become alive, Lover boy embraces the girl.
Take 6:
Indoors
Camera catches a mixture of images between the half finished painting, then towards the Lover boy and the girl. Close up shots.
Take 7:
Indoors
The camera is now on the move towards the walls of the room. There are many unfinished paintings of the lover boy on the walls. The wall look like the heart of the girl. The half sketched images of the Lover boy is being focused through the camera.
Take 8:
Indoors
Both the lover boy and girl in a deep breath and in an embrace.
Take 9:
Outdoors
The Half moon image again, The half moon represents the half sketched image of the lover boy and the next half is the girl. Mixture of various shots
Take 10:
Outdoors.
The half moon comes as a full moon in a ZOOM mode.. Camera makes the images through mixing the half nude body of the Lover boy and the girl.
