Stress

 You think it’s all over and you can’t push on anymore. The weight on your back is getting heavy and it’s holding you to the ground. You feel like that rug everyone wipes they’re feet on and nobody ever thinks about how much dirt it catches, but it’s a lot, and only you can feel it. The dirt is getting thick and you can hardly recognize yourself anymore. You once saw yourself as this mentally strong worrier that could never be broken but here you stand completely shattered and abused and it feels like you will never be your old self again. You ask over and over. Why you? Why this much pain put on one person and at such a young age? Are you even strong enuff to handle it? How is it possible for one person to be dealt so much bad in one life time and still be expected to push on and force a smile to the strangers you pass on the street?  People see in your eyes, the pain you carry with you cause you just can’t hide it any longer. 

When they ask if your ok. I bet you still find a way to swallow that lump in your throat and when the feeling fades from your chest like an elephant stepping off. You look them dead in the eyes and say with full confidence and smile on your face. I’m good. And thats when you realize that you can. You can keep going. That worrier is still in there and it’s fighting just as hard as it did at day one. Yes, life gets you down but it don’t hold you there. You can get back up and you will every time. This is not the end. Not for you. Keep pushing. Keep fighting. The pain will fade and you will be left with scars, but those scares only make you tougher. Make it so the next time you’er faced with an unbearable change. It doesn’t even scratch the surface because what you have already been through has made those lumps so easy to swallow it no longer effects you. You actually find them comforting as they remind you of a much worst time in your life and you remember how you swallowed them too.
