SYNOPSIS: This is my weekend writing column for a review of a poem from a selected author. This Column is being titled as "Sunday Musings" with a view to feature an in-depth analysis of any one of the poems from the previous week's postings, selected by me at random to avoid the elaborate review or comment postings by me in the usual comments column. Poetess Cherie Sumner's almost all poems are great success, and have won much appreciations and comments from COSMO viewers.  Hence it was very difficult to choose the best one for my review. However, I shall plan this column in such a way to accommodate almost all style of poems by all poets and poetess of COSMOFUNNEL, which I hope will give more room for encouragement and inspirations to write. The poems selected are purely from my own liking and discretion and has nothing to do with the ratings, voting and favorite aspects. Hope, readers will understand my view point and enjoy my writing. My views and interpretations in this column are purely my own observations, and it has nothing to do with the personal life of the author of the poem. I am eager to read your feed-backs.  The poem which  I have taken-up for this Sunday Musings is Cherie Sumner's   poem titled "His Treasure Within  "

I love what he does to me
Takes me completely off guard
Seduces me, so easily
Holding his sensual trump card
Something in his fiery eyes
Burns a signal, no time to prepare
He is about to pounce
My aroused body becomes aware  

(Sexual arousal or physical excitement is the arousal of sexual desire, during or in anticipation of a sexual act or reality in a physical way)

Like wild animals in heat
We circle around on the bed
I want self-control, to take things slow
But I jump him instead
Ravenous, I cling to the heat
Of his sexy lollypop of flesh
My body claims its territory
Heart and soul complete the mesh

(A number of physiological responses occur both in the body and mind as preparation for sex and its related activates which is pure and quite natural for all humans in this world)

Whispers with moans readily set the tone
For erotic pleasure
Yet, he finds a way, in sexual play
To thrust deeper in good measure
What a rush!  Wish he could make my body 
His home, here, deep inside
Glad to accommodate love’s rhythm
To slide, glide, in perfect stride

(Genital responses are not the only changes, but noticeable and necessary for consensual and comfortable intercourse)

He sustains my excited attention
Holds my heart in his hand
I am at his desire’s beck and call
His wish is my command
His name engraved in my soul
Only his touch designed for my skin
Synchronized waves bring sweet release,
I savor his treasure within

(Sexual stimulation has several stages and may not lead to any actual sexual activity, beyond a mental arousal and the physiological changes that accompany it )

BETWEEN THE LINES

I really appreciate the boldness of Poetess Cherie Sumner in writing the above poem, Sex is not bad or ugly, it is a necessity in human life. It cannot be suppresses at all, this needs to be relieved and responded to whenever the body and mind ask for it. The sexual response cycle refers to the sequence of physical and emotional changes that occur as a person becomes sexually aroused and participates in sexually stimulating activities, including intercourse and masturbation. Knowing how your body responds during each phase of the cycle can enhance your relationship and help you pinpoint the cause of any sexual related inspirations and influences. The orgasm is the climax of the sexual response cycle. It is the shortest of the phases and generally lasts only a few seconds.

Honorable Poetess Cherie Sumner, mother poetess of love, your poem, though highly sensual, it is the depiction of true love between male and female, please accept my congratulations for sharing this verse with us, Regards & Love
