SYNOPSIS: This is my weekend writing column for a review of a poem from a selected author. This Column is being titled as "Sunday Musings" with a view to feature an in-depth analysis of any one of the poems from the previous week's postings, selected by me at random to avoid the elaborate review or comment postings by me in the usual comments column. Poetess Melissa Caron's almost all poems are great success, and have won much appreciations and comments from COSMO viewers. Hence it was very difficult to choose the best one for my review. However, I shall plan this column in such a way to accommodate almost all style of poems by all poets and poetess of COSMOFUNNEL, which I hope will give more room for encouragement and inspirations to write. The poems selected are purely from my own liking and discretion and has nothing to do with the ratings, voting and favorite aspects. Hope, readers will understand my view point and enjoy my writing. My views and interpretations in this column are purely my own observations, and it has nothing to do with the personal life of the author of the poem. I am eager to read your feed-backs. The poem which I have taken-up for this Sunday Musings is Poetess Melissa Caron's verse titled " My Heart Smiled "

A leaf has fallen from my tree
This leaf, has been a pain for me
The leaf of loneliness, and despair
Just lingering in the mid air
(Anyone can have a child and call themselves as Mother. A real mother is someone who puts her beloved child above her own selfish needs)
I had given too much
To what my heart could not touch
Every repeating season
It remained, I no longer have reason
(Mother’s love is truly and most genuinely incomparable. It’s the purest form of affection)
To have this leaf, on the branches of my tree
God, has granted a gift to me
The most pleasurable love, ever known
I will no longer be alone
(Making the decision to have a child is significant. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body)
Thank you God for such a gift
To forever give my spirits a lift
For today my heart and soul smiled
I am expecting a child
Finally, my dream come true
My soul is no longer blue
(The tie which connects mother and child is of such pure, clean and tidy strength as to be never dishonored)

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.A mother’s happiness is like a beacon, lighting up the future but reflected also on the past in the guise of fond memories. Motherhood has a very humanizing effect. Everything gets reduced to essentials.
When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child. A mother’s arms are made up tenderness and children sleep soundly in them.Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn, Hundreds of bees in the purple clover, Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn, But only one mother the wide world over.
Honorable Poetess Melissa Caron, please accept my congratulations for sharing such a wonderful motherly poem to us, Keep writing more and more lovely poems, May God bless you and your child, my applause, my love and regards to you,

Thank you once again my Willi man,
I truly feel grateful, that you appreciate the true meaning in my poetry. Your appreciation means a great deal to me. My apologies as well for such late responses, my life has been extremely hectic lately to say the least. I truly love also how you take such an extreme attempt to keep the world of poetry going, your poems as well are a true inspiration to me. I absolutely love your work, its absolutely beautiful, I will be rating your recent poetry soon as well. As far as being a mother, there is absolutely no larger blessing that a woman could ask for, my daughter is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I hope other mothers when they read this poem, feel the gratitude in they're own hearts as well.
Sincerely with love
XxX Melissa <3
