SYNOPSIS: This is my weekend writing column for a review of a poem from a selected author. This Column is being titled as "Sunday Musings" with a view to feature an in-depth analysis of any one of the poems from the previous week's postings, selected by me at random to avoid the elaborate review or comment postings by me in the usual comments column. Poet Richard Waters almost all poems are great success, and have won much appreciations and comments from COSMO viewers.  Hence it was very difficult to choose the best one for my review. However, I shall plan this column in such a way to accommodate almost all style of poems by all poets and poetess of COSMOFUNNEL, which I hope will give more room for encouragement and inspirations to write. The poems selected are purely from my own liking and discretion and has nothing to do with the ratings, voting and favorite aspects. Hope, readers will understand my view point and enjoy my writing. My views and interpretations in this column are purely my own observations, and it has nothing to do with the personal life of the author of the poem. I am eager to read your feed-backs.  The poem which I have taken-up for this Sunday is " Understanding "

You love me for all I am or will be
You love me unconditionally
You always want to be by my side
So,from you, no secret will I hide
(Love is always unconditional. Don't get me wrong. I think love is great. I love my children and all of my family members. Love understands everything)
Savouring lifes experiences as one
Sharing all the heartache and fun
We understand what we have found
We understand love is the solid ground
Which we need beneath our feet
(Understanding is more important than love, especially when it comes to parenting and intimate relationships)
To make sure each day we happily greet
Because together we can handle anything
Whatever fate or fortune may bring
So much we gain from one another
(The painful reality is love is just not enough. I'll admit that there are people who I love who I still need to better understand)
Cherishing time spent with each other
Understanding, as well as we do
Our love seems known by a blessed few.
(The willingness to understand is very important. It is not always easy, but healthy love is strengthened by the willingness to understand. Love without understanding will wilt like flowers without water)

- BETWEEN THE LINES

Being in love with an important person and loving that person are two different things. Understanding the difference and being able to apply the knowledge to your own relationships is key to building a lasting relationship. Being in love is believing you need someone in order to be happy.
Being in love is wanting to own a part of the other person. It’s believing this person is so wonderful that you want him or her to be a part of your life, a part of you. When you fall in love with a person, you feel an intense urge to consume that person in any way you can.
You need him or her to be a part of your life in some way or another, not because you want to own a piece of this person, but because you want to give him or her a piece of yourself; loving someone is deeming him or her worthy of owning a part of you.
It isn’t about ownership; it’s about wanting only the best for that individual — something that often means letting that love go. When you’re in love with someone, your emotions are always on high.
Please accept my congratulations for sharing such a wonderful love poem, keep writing more and more, may God bless dear Richards Waters

I thoroughly enjoyed your review and assessment of my poem ! I agree with a lot of what you say. To spend a lifetime with a " soul-mate " means you understand them equally as much as you love them !
My best wishes to you !
