The Dove Lovesong

A man once loved his true love, Mary. He lost this girl on a fateful day and went and sat under the weeping willow sad and all alone. His only love was gone. His only love was lost forever. As he sat there sad, forlorn and all alone, a lonesome white dove went and sat high up in the tree. It started to sing a song of love. A song of true love forever. 'Love is in the Heart. Love is in the Soul. Love is Love. Love is Love.' It sang its beautiful song from above alone and lonely still. The man sat and listened for a long time, and when he felt a bit better, he strolled back home through the dark forest woods. When he came home at last, he looked in his post box for any news, and surely, there was a small letter of love inside after all. 'Meet me at midnight. Love Mary.' It was all that he could read on the folded piece of paper. Late that night he walked back slowly to the old weeping willow tree under the bright shining full moon high above. There was his only true love Mary waiting for him once more. They embraced and kissed together to be wed forever. It was a true song that the dove sung that morning. 'Love is in the Heart. Love is in the Soul. Love is Love. Love is Love.' True love lasts forever.
