The world's end

It all felt like a dream in fact it all felt like a nightmare but it wasnt it was real life. Right now I'm hiding in a rotting apartment. I'm terrified. What if someone comes in here? What if something comes in here? My family are no where to be seen people are being burnt alive what has this world come to? I sure have many questions but I bet your wondering how this all started well it was a Thursday, the 12th of July 23:37pm to be specific my mom and dad were in the kitchen arguing what about?  I do not know. whenever I'd tried to spy they'd see me and stop talking. I hated it they basically never got along and might aswell had just spilt up. I struggle with depression and so this made me more depressed then ever my parents practically hate eachother, they keep secrets from me I just felt so alone. The clock struck 12am and I was just about to hop into bed until *BEEP BEEP, THIS IS AN EMERGENCY BROADCAST* My heart skipped a couple beats I thought to myself "what is this the purge?" ​​​I rolled my eyes and began to continue getting ready for bed. As soon as I lay down and close my eyes my mum burst into my room "We have to go" I'm so startled I fall straight to the floor "why? What's happening mom? Where's dad?" My moms face turned pale. "I-I he um he turned into some kind of animal and tried to attack me i-i I'm so sorry" I ran towards my mum and hugged her so tightly neither me or her could breathe. I obviously didn't believe that he turned into an animal but my mum was so startled I just had to comfort her. I just played along and packed a few essentials "okay where are we going?" "Far away from here or else we'll die ​​​​​​" I can't believe I'm saying this but my mum was scaring me. She just wasn't herself but I ignored it. We exited my room and ran towards the front door. We grabbed our coats and left. My mum unlocked the car and I hopped inside my mum then said "ugh I forgot something stay here hunny" I waited 15 minutes and then she finally returned. She stood outside the car and wasn't moving "Mom? Mom? Get in"
She turned her head and smiled at me I tried to open the door because I didnt know what was happening the door wouldn't budge. Her hands began to shake and her eyes rolled to the back of her head she began to hit her head on the side of the car. I crawled over to the other side of the car and hid my head in my knees I heard my mum screaming "HELP HELLLPPPP ME IT BURNS" tears rolled controllessly down my cheeks I looked up and she was having some kind of a seizure it wasn't normal though. Soon after she fell to the ground I couldn't breath, I crawled back over and looked through the window and could see her laying lifelessly from the corner of my eyes I could see a tall figure glaring at me he or she was holding something round he pulled some thing off of it and through it on the car. He ran off. "What the" *EXPLODES*
