With the Great Energy Crisis I have a new idea for capturing lightning-bolts. One is to build a big metal basket to capture the lightning bolt as wet metal is known to attract lightning. The bowl or basket will have to be shallow in shape so as to cover the maximum area and make it easier to pick up stay bolts of lighting. It will have to cover a large area with these metal ‘baskets’ much like a wind farm would with power generating windmills. A few square kilometers in area at a place known to always frequent thunderstorms and heavy lightning. The problem would then be to store the energy and transfer it into usable electricity. One large lightning bolt is said to be able to power a whole big city area for quite some time. A new novel idea to capture energy and store the electricity of lightning in large industrial batteries. Who knows what tomorrow brings. The future awaits us all.
