valentine's day gift

As I walked into the shop I was very excited to buy a gift for my wife. I wanted to see the pleased look in her face as I presented the gift to her. I rushed to the shop with the hope something special would be waiting for me. It was naturally crowded boyfriends buying gifts for girlfriends, girlfriends buying gifts for boyfriends and so on. I was disappointed as there was nothing special in the shop. I went to three more shops and still got the same results. Then suddenly something caught on my eye. It was a ruby ring. I was so excited finally I got the perfect gift for my wife. I went inside shop to buy the ring but when I saw the prize my heart fell. It was my 3 years salary I couldn't afford to buy a ring this expensive. I really wanted to buy her this ring that I took all my life savings and brought the ring for her. The valentine's day arrived I ran to my wife to give her, her gift. We exchanged our gift. I was hoping to get box of sweets she always gave me on valentines. So imagine my surprise I opened the wrapper and saw the same ruby ring which I gave her. I was shocked I could see the same expression on her face too. Tears clouded on her eyes. Both of us buying the same gift each other. We talked and laughed for the rest of the day. That was the best valentine's day ever.
