Just One Wish

** Just One Wish **

If One Day I could have just One Wish.
I would Wish for A life I could live in bliss.
Just an average life would be just fine,
to wake up in the morning, and to say it was mine.
I dont want riches, or to be better than you,
Just an average "Joe", and to pay my dues.
To be an honest man is for all I would ask,
nothing elaborate, that would require a mask.
I would go to work to earn an honest living,
and create a world with a family to live in.
To build a home filled with comfort and love,
with a wife and children, who were sent from above.
To consider my neighbours, and give an helping hand.
And live a peaceful life, and to help where I can.
To be jealous or envious, I need never consider,
and to sleep in peace, I would prefer to deliver.
I know you may think that my wish would be wasted,
asking for gifts that can very easily be tasted.
These simple requests everyone of us can achieve.
Without asking for wishes, or without trying to deceive.
But for me it's down-hill and my life has now passed.
I want to pass onto others this simple repast.
For all I have asked I should have long ago considered,
without now asking for wishes,
that are not so easily delivered.
