WHAT IS AN O.B.E?

Many people have described an O.B.E in medical surveys, and the surveys have shown that an `Out Of Body Experience` can occur in about 10% of the population. The O.B.E is described as a sensation of separation from the body and being able to watch oneself and the events that are taking place, from a point above the body.

Once in an O.B.E state people describe being very `light` and `peaceful!.` Interestingly they`ve often inadvertently described themselves as separated from their body. For example they may say " I was up at the corner of the ceiling, looking down at myself, thinking what is my body doing down there? " Some people have even described being able to leave the room and were able to watch what other people were doing in the next room! They have been able to recall specific details that took place that they wouldn`t have normally been aware of otherwise, and have been able to give others actual proof.

I have read about a woman in Mexico that had her experience recorded in a survey. During an operation she had the feeling of being able to see herself floating. She described watching the doctors and the nurses working on her body and what they were writing on her records and how many people were there, just like the experience that I had, and also what the team were instructed to do. When the doctor came to see her in recovery she was able to tell him what he had written in her medical report, she described how shocked he was with the details that he said she couldn`t possibly have seen being recorded!

Although O.B.E`s can occur during a Near Death Experience, they can also occur in isolation under a variety of other stimuli, the difference in an N.D.E is that the body is still attached by a faint umbilical cord to the body and at the actual point of death the umbilical cord separates.

There have been operations performed on people with intractable epilepsy. Electrodes were implanted in their brain and used to stimulate different portions of the brain. The aim was to find abnormal brain cells that may have been causing the recurrent seizures. The medical methods, medicine and medical science of today is really progressing at an amazing rate and the technology that is being invented is incredible and is saving many lives.

During the electrode operations, quite unexpectedly the patients have reported seeing themselves from above floating near the ceiling, but attached to their body by an umbilical cord that was very long but faint to see. During the electrode procedure the patient has to stay conscious in order to be able to answer questions, so that the medical team can accurately situate the electrodes. The doctors realized that they can actually induce an O.B.E. Because of these brave experiments they have actually discovered how to reduce and even cure certain forms of epilepsy, by implanting the electrodes and the tiny battery under the skin in the area of the brain that is affected. This has been done in London and has been filmed for a medical program. Although this treatment is new and still in its infancy, they have had surprising success.

Now this may sound a bit weird to you! ( But there again I am weird!!! ) I think O.B.E`s and N.D.E`s are Gods` way of teaching us to progress humanity. God is showing us that there is Life After Death and that our souls are real and are the important part of us. Our bodies are just the `Transport` or `Machine` that we have in order for our souls to have this `Human Experience`. We are `Spiritual Beings` having a `Human Experience` and just like all things, our bodies brake down and eventually wear out. These are my thoughts on this particular subject and I have also read a book called Evidence Of The After Life, by Jeffrey Long M.D with Paul Perry. It is basically a study of Life After Death and the study of N.D.E`s and O.B.E`s with the proof that is found in many studies that are being performed all over the world with all the information collected through people who are `Sensitives ` who can get in touch with the `Other Side` almost like a radio channel to the spirit world!!

There are many very talented mediums with excellent natural intuition that we all have. This channel to the `After Life` comes from a part of our brain called the `Peniel Gland` situated in the frontal lobe of our brain. Sadly most people don`t use it because we have forgotten how to do it. Technology and all the things that make modern life easier for us has made us lazy and we don`t try hard enough to get in touch with our `Inner Light` and many people don`t believe that it is real, but I can assure you that it is there! Just like our appendix is there! We can train ourselves and relearn how to use it, just like we learn to do anything in life and it is done through `Dedicated Meditation` and `Relaxation Methods!` We call it our `Third Eye` or our `Second Sight`. We can do this if we just allow ourselves to relearn the technique!! Sadly there are people who pretend to be able to do this! They are actually just reading your body language and they are damaging the true science of this subject and taking advantage of those who are grieving, simply for money!!

Never the less people have been able to give proof that some are able to have a natural O.B.E You can train yourself how to do it through inducing a natural gentle light sleep state, the sleep state just before you properly fall asleep almost like day dreaming and you do it through `Practiced Relaxation Methods` and `Meditation`. I have had this experience although only twice because it always depends on how relaxed you are and the amount of stress you have been under at the time.

My first personal experience of an O.B.E was when I was 37 and had suffered a stroke. I was unconscious at the time but found myself stood beside the specialist doctor and reading what was being recorded in the medical notes and the recording of my vital signs and what he was doing. It was only for what felt like a short time span, just long enough to watch the doctor write the second paragraph in my notes. When I came round I found that I had been in an induced coma for nearly 2 days as they had to sedate me in order to treat me. I was able to tell my doctor what he had written. Geoff, my husband, went as white as a sheet with shock when the doctor showed him the paragraph he had written and I was able to tell them exactly what my heart rate had been and my blood pressure at that particular time as the time had been recorded too. Geoff said that I must have heard what had been said but the doctor told him that I couldn`t have known what had been written unless I had watched him writing it down as the doctor was the only person apart from me in the room at the time.

Luckily the stroke was a small one but it has left me with episodes of memory loss epilepsy that cause me to have blank spots in my memory during the seizures. I am able to function normally, I just can`t remember what I have done or said during the seizure. Luckily it is controlled now by medication and I only have little spells where I can start a sentence but completely forget half way through what I was wanting to say, it is quite embarrassing but the family are used to it now and just allow for it.

The subject and surveys that have been done and there are many thousands of people who took part in them, are very interesting and I find it fascinating because I have had it happen to me and at the time it settled my mind when the doctor told me that he had himself had one and some of his patients had reported having them too, he also studied the subject closely with other brain specialists.
