The Black&White Horse

In the great Arabia there once ruled two great Lords. Lord Abdullah who lived in the lands alongside his neighbor, Lord Rahul. Now these two lords were fierce competitors in everything and did not get along at all. Lord Abdullah had a brilliant shiny black stallion which was his most prized possession. Lord Rahul in turn owned a beautiful white mare who was lovely beyond compare. The Black Stallion and the White Mare once met in the meadow next to the two Lord's lands while out grazing in the green, green pastures of heaven. The White Horse and the Black Stallion fell in love straight away, neither one having seen a fairer creature than the other in all of their lives. That night The Black Stallion told his Lord, 'I have seen to most precious White Mare in the meadow today and wish to marry her sire.' Â 'No, this will not do,' replied Lord Abdullah 'For she is the mare of my sworn enemy, and you shall never wed her.' Said he. Likewise, the White Mare said to Lord Rahul, 'I saw the most handsome Black Stallion today out in the pastures and desire his love more than anything in all of creation.' 'You must never meet with this Black Horse again,' said the Lord Rahul, 'For he is the Stallion of my biggest foe and the two of you shall never be together.' Yet a month passed and with the next full moon the Black Stallion and the White Mare did indeed meet out in the moonshine of the green meadow again and eloped and ran away together. Both ignoring the wishes of their master's they disappeared together forever. They mated in the spring and their boy was a lovely black-and-white striped horse who they named 'Zebra.' The first of his kind. When the two Lords realized their loss, they now knew how foolish they had been and resolved to be enemies no longer lest more harm should come to them both because of their bitter rivalry. And so, all was well that ends well. True love will never be denied in the end. Â Â

Kids will love this one. And they’llÂ
know how the zebra came into this world. Great imagination, Jac.
