Story -

Who was that man?

After a long week away working she was tired. All she wanted was to get off the plane and home as quickly as possible.
The flight had gone quickly as she had immersed herself in a book. Time to read was a rarity and reading enough pages to get into a story was a real treat. She got almost half way through, when she will find time to finish it was far from her mind.
It was a slow escape from the plane but she was near the front and just so eager to get home. The next obstacle was to clear immigration. How long will this take? It was a guessing game. Sometimes queuing for hours, other times sailing through. This was a routine that she was just far too familiar with.
This is when it happened......
Row after row of people trundling along all just wanting to eagerly escape the airport. Then she noticed him. About six people in front of her, he was there. God he was gorgeous, she thought. A bit older than her, maybe about 10 years but age is just a number. As they crossed each other as the queues moved, she finally braved a smile. He looked so handsome. Clean cut, suited, tall and broad. Hair thinning a little but that just added to the attraction. Would he return a smile or just be another miserable, arrogant executive? He did and that was it, cupid had directed an arrow straight into her heart.
As they continued to pass each other line after line the smiles grew, the wanting grew. God this is embarrassing, she thought and why is the queue going down so quickly!
He spoke first, only to say "one line left". They both wished that queue was never ending. And why o why were there so many people around.
He cleared immigration and continued on his way, what was he thinking? Did he feel it too? Crazy questions ran through her head. Then as she got through the passport check she could see him. He was clearly looking for her, turning as he walked away. She walked as quickly and as dignified as her heels would allow. Don't fall over she thought, as she smiled to herself. Then as the escalators took her down to the baggage hall. This was it. He was waiting at the bottom. Shit! What do I do? What should I say? Those few seconds passed so quickly. Then that was it they were side by side......
Make no mistake this was a lady who always gets wants she wants. But for once she was speechless......what a time to feel like this! There are a million things she could have said. But the words just wouldn't come out. Instead she threw him the biggest cutest smile she could muster. A mischievous wave and that was it. She walked away......never to see him again. Who was that man?
