Why me?

Spinning…ears ringing… head pounding… glass shattering… Black...when I awoke, My biggest fear became reality, and hit me like a bag of bricks when I saw my lifeless body get removed from the pile of crushed metal that used to be a vehicle. I’m. Dead. The image, the people, everything flew through my mind so fast that everything goes black… I open my eyes, and my mind, if I even had one at the time, was so jumbled that I couldn’t see straight. I heard footsteps grow closer, and closer, but I didn’t think anything of it, considering no one could have seen me…then I heard more, and more footsteps, and beeping, loud beeping! And people shouting all around me. It all kept getting louder and louder…I violently slammed my hands against my ears and squeezed my eyes shut tightly. The only words I managed to make out of all that mess was “CLEAR” then everything went blank… It was so peaceful…almost as if time had stopped, and life itself had ceased to prevail, and for once in my existence, everything was a calm and silent realm. It was almost soothing. I pictured me lying down and shutting my eyes for an eternity of sleep, when something whispered in my ear for me to open my eyes. Shocked, I did what this soft, strange voice commanded me to do, and I opened them. It took a while for me to focus, there was two strange men in masks standing over me, along with a constant beeping in the background. One man was tall and slim, and the other one was shorter and a bit broad-shouldered. Their arms and the front of their coats were coated in blood. Wait? Is this my blood?! Then I feel my body grow very heavy and I slowly look toward the shorter man as he injects a strange liquid into a tube that goes into my hand, everything gets heavier and heavier, and my eyes slowly close, and I fall into a more un-permanent sleep.. When I woke up, I see through foggy eyes that my mom had shot up from her chair and ran over to my side. She tried to say something, but I couldn’t make it out, because she had no voice…probably from fighting with dad again the previous night. I look into my mother’s eyes for the first time in what seems like decades, and she just smiles at me while her eyes well up with tears once more and embraces me in her arms. All of the sudden, a flashback of the accident explodes through my head like a bullet of dread and shame, and a pit starts to grow larger and larger in my stomach, as I realize my sister, my boyfriend, and my best friend were all in that car too. Now that I think of it, Brandon was the one driving…and Lilly and Sarah were in the back, and now all I see in the room with me is my mother, my exhausted father, and myself. Where are they? Are they in a different room? Did they even survive? Why did we go to that party? Why didn’t we just stay home? I can’t live with knowing that the three most important people in my life are gone, and all that’s left…is I. What possessed god to let me survive and not them? Why am I still here? There are so many questions in my head right now that my ears start to ring, and I pass out. There before me stands a beautiful white glowing figure, it seems strangely familiar, but I cant put my finger on why… I cannot make out the face, but I could tell that this figure was very powerful by the way it appeared. It spoke to me, in the most soft, and kind voice. It told me that I was not to be afraid, for he has put me on the earth for a purpose, and that it was not my time to reside in his kingdom of glory. The last thing he said right before I awoke was, “ you must share my testimony…my word to your friends and family, this is why you’ve been placed on earth with these hard, and emotional times, It is a test of your strength, faith, and wisdom. When all else fails, seek guidance in my word, and a light shall guide your path.
