POEM:
AUGUST TOUCHES LIPS
You enter quietly, burning,
honey on your lips, ardor in your gaze,
your presence pulsates beneath body,
impatience that knows no measure,
you touch me with your hands,
the scent of plums bursts in the twilight,
the taste of your name on my tongue,
scattered across my body without charm,
you are the velvet of on my hips,
a moment that knows no shame,
in my soul you ignite gardens,
full of juices and silent shame,
don't go - remain naked in this poem,
in the folds of August, in the wordless light,
hold me in my last tremors,
before we fall unconscious into sleep.

POETIC ANAYSIS
This poem, "AUGUST TOUCHES LIPS," is a vivid and sensual piece that immediately immerses the reader in a moment of intense passion. The language is rich with imagery, from "honey on your lips" to the sudden burst of "scent of plums," which powerfully evokes the physical and emotional experience. The use of natural elements—August, plums, gardens—grounds the poem's intimacy in a larger, almost primal, context.
The raw, unabashed emotion is central to the poem's strength. Phrases like "impatience that knows no measure" and "a moment that knows no shame" convey an urgent and unrestrained desire. The final plea, "don't go - remain naked in this poem," beautifully captures the desire to hold onto a fleeting moment, to make the passion eternal through art.
The poem ends with a powerful sense of surrender, as the lovers "fall unconscious into sleep," suggesting a completion and a peaceful exhaustion after the shared intensity. Overall, it's a deeply evocative and memorable piece about the burning, beautiful intensity of a moment in time.-WILLIAMSJI MAVELI
