A MORNING IN MY CITY
Air pollution in our environment causes much harmful to us, especially in the city life, Poet Rumpa Ghosh (Rumpa Ray Ghosh) depicts its impact on the society and human life. Substances like biological molecules are introduced into Earth's atmosphere and its surfaces and surroundings. This may cause diseases, allergies or death of humans, also it may cause harm to living birds as well as flora and fauna.
“ Birds forget to chirp and chatter,
Trees seem ruefully frail.
Grey concrete blocks rise high,
The city seems more like a jail “.
For Poet Rumpa Ray Ghosh, Poetry is a weapon loaded with the future as this is evident in her above lines from the poem titled “ A Morning in my City “. A number of factors, including elements of the social environment, such as growing up in the city doubles the risk of developing psychosis later in life. Similar sort of exposures invites adverse outcomes.
Air pollution occurs when gases, dust particles, fumes or smoke from the factory outlets or odour are introduced into the atmosphere in a way that makes it harmful to humans, animals and plant.. Her poetry has really made us stop and think about a lot of things, most notably the need for preserving the earth’s environment free of debris and other obstacles which causes harm to human life.
In this short poem, Rumpa Ghosh (Rumpa Ray Ghosh) narrates on the hazards and risks, damages involved in daily routine life styles and what could cause life difficulties in a city life. She outlines the power, the value, and the strength of poetry as a tool and a weapon for bringing about the future and social change. City life brains had excessively augmented responses to communal and social stress.- WILLIAMSJI MAVELI
