WAVES

Ocean waves are being located on the sea surface. These are commonly caused by wind transferring its force to the water, and big waves, or swells, can travel over long distances. A wave's size depends on wind speed, wind duration, and the area over which the sea storm is blowing. Poet Rumpa Ghosh depicts aesthetically about the waves in her two short lines as below: -

“Appearing and leaving intermittently,
Roaring up and plunging down…”

My congrats to honourable Poet Rumpa Ghosh.The role of the sea in human culture has been significant for centuries, as people experience the sea in conflicting as well as contradicting interpretations: as powerful but serene, beautiful but hazardous. Human responses to the sea can be found in many art forms including poetry and visual arts as well.
Poetically, in literature, the ocean is used in a symbolic form, most often refers to human emotions. We have the deep blue ocean of love, drowning in misfortune and calamity, calm as being tranquil and during the days of sailing of ships; a death sentence. Literature refers to the depth of our feelings as compared to the depth of the sea, our anger as a stormy sea and the seas seeming endlessness as despair.
The sea is sentiment incarnate. It loves, hates, and weeps. It defies all attempts to capture it with words and rejects all restraints. This short poem concludes with the below lines: -

“Everything in this world is a foam bubble
That forms and bursts after touching the wet shores “
Unquote
In short, life is like a bubble which is broken in every seconds, Symbolically the “ Wet Shore “ is our own frozen body after death.
