POEM:
TO GIVE OUR LIVES A MEANING.
Life is neither unfathomable
nor is life mysterious
life is like a mathematical problem
that requires genuine talent and patience
to arrive at the perfect response
most befitting without any question of uncertainty
clouding its true nature
there is almost always an avalanche of incidents
in life quite pleasant as well as irksome
it is when a deluge of sufferings hit us
we humans perhaps many among us
find ourselves at crossroads in life
at our wits end and clueless
yet gathering the folds of life with much diligence
allowing in no way for despair to make inroads
never succumbing but clinging on to life
with a zealous heart
for sense to prevail for us to emerge triumphant
for us to make our lives
a rapturous melody
never a tragedy that hurts and bleeds
shriveling the very essence of our lives.

POETIC VIEWS:
The poem explores the idea that life is a challenging puzzle that requires perseverance, resilience, and a positive outlook to solve. It emphasizes the importance of finding meaning and purpose in life, even in the face of adversity. The poem appears to be free verse, as it doesn't follow a strict rhyme scheme or meter. This allows for a more conversational and flexible structure, fitting the theme of personal reflection. The poem uses vivid imagery to convey its message. For example, life is compared to a "mathematical problem" that requires "genuine talent and patience."
The metaphor of a "deluge of sufferings" creates a powerful image of the challenges one may face. While there's no overt use of rhyme, the poem does employ a variety of sound devices, such as alliteration ("deluge of sufferings") and assonance (the repetition of vowel sounds, like "life" and "like"). The tone of the poem is one of determination and resilience. The poet encourages the reader to face life's challenges with courage and hope. The poet is likely a reflective individual who has experienced life's ups and downs. This thought  offer advice and encouragement to others who may be struggling.
Overall, the poem is a powerful meditation on the human experience. It suggests that life is a journey filled with both joy and sorrow, but that it is possible to find meaning and purpose even in the darkest of times. The poet emphasizes the importance of perseverance, resilience, and a positive outlook in overcoming life's challenges. WILLIAMSJI MAVELI
