WILLIAMSJI MAVELI WRITES, ZAMINDAR'S BRIDE
ZAMINDAR'S BRIDE
I wish to express my congratulations to the talented Historical author and artist Adriana Girolami, for the publishing of her latest novel, The Zamindar's Bride. This exciting, passionate story explores the privileged world of "Zamindars", who were fabulously wealthy land owners, (Feudal Lords) whose power flourished during the British rule in Colonial India.
(Zamin in Hindi language), the root word for Zamindar, originated in Persia, since their influence was spread by the Mughals in north India. The Zamindar's Bride depicts the passionate love between an Indian Zamindar and a beautiful European Countess. We enter the glamorous royal courts of 19th Century Europe, and the splendor of exotic India, exploring the many intrigues that flourish in those privileged worlds. The protagonists are challenged by their different cultures, although mysteriously connected by the possibility of reincarnation.
In the exciting story-line, their ardent love is marred by murder and betrayal, until the mystery of their existence is reveled in a very surprising, and exciting twist to the story.
