wolf in the making

It is night, and the wolf is out in the midst of the forest. The wolf has killed everything that once lived, everything but a single rabbit. A single white rabbit, so pure, and so clean. The wolf searches for hours , all the while walking over the remains of his past meals.
The rabbit is without fear of being found , she is sad and tired of being alone. The wolf finds the rabbit , realizing that she is meant to be his last meal.
The wolf does something Strange. He let's the rabbit go, but why.
There are no other male rabbits for the female to repopulate with for the purpose of more food. This rabbit is not too fast or too strong. No, the reason the wolf does not kill the rabbit is because they are the same.
They both understand the pain of being alone , of being the last of their kind. So in this the rabbit is not a rabbit. This rabbit has become a lone wolf.
