Be careful what you wish for

No truer word’s been said

We always want what we haven’t got

Believing greener grass lies ahead

I wish I’d get promoted

But could I fulfil the role

My wish could turn quite sour

And I end up on the dole

I wish I had more money

Without the evil it stirs up

Money isn’t everything

Unless you are hard up

What about folk with everything

What things do they wish for

Do the wealthy wish for money

Do they just want more and more?

We should all just wish for good health

The most precious gift of all

Money can’t save the wealthy

When they’re finally given their call

Riches can make you a victim of

Gold digging demons hunting for prey

To them, love has no meaning

Wishing for riches makes them that way

So I guess that I’ve decided

What I’ll wish for every day

And it will not be for riches

Good health will save the day

Health and wealth, such similar words

With health you have time to get wealthy

But wealth can’t rid you of disease

Common sense says wish to stay healthy
