A Grand Ball
Who could recall in great detail
A dream such as this,
Now I don't really remember
A dream, so it borders that of a wish.
A party no, a grand ball
That you would never refuse to attend,
An honor for such an invite;
You there with all your cyber writer friends.
Obviously a fancy dress occasion
Please look your best,
Enclosed in the invitation plane tickets
All expenses paid does the rest.
Designated date and time
For all the talents to take center stage
And compete against one another
Letting words flow that have been stripped from the page.
Art to be auctioned
For everyone's favorite charities,
Open mic freestylers
Spitting stories, ideas, or lovely poetry.
Of course music and dancing
Food and the loosening drinks,
Every caring voice through words you put a face.
Crowning a contest winner gives bragging rights for the year makes me thinks,
How wonderful this whole idea
A great...grand.....cosmofunnel ball,
Where we come together
To tribute words by us all.
It sounds of so much fun
This dream untrue,
I mean it to be a wish
Because I wish and I know you do too.

A Ball... yes! it would be so niceΒ if Β we could take it back to the 500 era, Β and liveΒ a magical night, full of life and inspiration all around Β as we all have a saying and different thoughts but with finesse we would toast and have a merry night.
