I Wish to Write a Song

I wish to write a song but I don't know how to start. I've tried to turn my poetry into songs but none of them are the song type. The song I want to write is about a high school typical crush. It's gushy and romantic. The problem is I really don't know how to start. So what I would like from the people who read this is to leave a comment down below with any tips you might have for me. Maybe you will even come up with a starter verse to help me get my flow on. It would mean a lot to me for a little bit of help since this would be my first song ever. THANK YOU. I appreciate all the help that I will be receiving. And if the song goes well for me I will make sure to leave a note on it saying you helped me.
