It's Never Too Late To Make A Child Smile!

  I make my living on the front line of a busy street, where people stepping of the Tram or walking kids to school in a hurry, often found watching them with deep interest at their passing. Those who notice me the most are the kids. Boy the kids!...some are in tears, as they are being dragged off to school or just plain dragged off period. Some look my way to see me watching them, and if they are in a deep cry, it is almost a sure bet that i will reap the look they would give Mom or Dad except me being a stranger, felt proper. Once in a while the bus with the slow kids would drop off them who live nearby, and yes Sir, slow or not, inquiring minds want to know, and they will come up to the glass and look in on who is looking at them. Just a smile and a wave, is like a bell for any round in a boxing match. With beaming eyes, and smiles to rival any bright morning, these kids come alive at the first sign of a smile back. Then one by one, the waves and then the scheduled event, where I have to be there to wave, otherwise that day for them is not the same. We live in an odd world, were good is forgotten and race is over rated. Whenever you get a chance, if good is a friend of yours, take time to make a child smile, it is never to late to do so...
