You and I

I wish the pain I cause you would go away. 

I can not say I do not feel pain, but it is sadness that keeps me at bay.

So many years of holding each other up.

When you were out, I was in. 

When I was out you were in.

I wish I had known there would be a time when neither you nor I 

Would be in. We fell from grace. Nobody there to catch us. 

Now left with why, how and oh no. 

One must lift the other..one must find the strength. 

When there is no strength left.

sharing life......you give when there is nothing left to give.
