AFRICAN MOTHER

This work is a painting work done by using acrylic on canvas. It is an imaginative creative work produced to appreciate how African mothers breast feed their babies. In the work, blue and brown are the dominant colours to bring out the form and also for the background. As you can see in the work is a woman a pink browses and a green cloth holding a baby on her laps and breast feeding the baby. The colours rendered in the painting work have their symbolic meaning unlike the reds shows the suffering the woman went through when giving birth to the baby, the blues signifies the love and the greens signifies the hope, growth and future of the baby.
