Broken king with crown of thorns

Title kind of says it all but there is a back story to the initial picture it started as a birthday card for my father who was incarcerated at the time but he died shortly before his birthday you could say I started it on a happy note and ended on a bad one so the picture's subject matter changed over the course of the drawing i had something different planed but the heart wants what the heart wants and this is the end result
