PROGRESS KILLED THE NATIVE AMERICANS

This is a collage where the images were taken from photo books and then painted around to create a painted background collage of Indians, and what Indians represent in our society. It was done on canvas with a special glue and then acrylic paints for the outer images and to fill in any white space. It honors Native Americans and I loved doing it. What's so great about this piece or any of my pieces, is that you can photograph sections of the piece and then print them out and re collage anything, change it, re paint, or re glue. It's freedom of expression art. "PROGRESS KILLED THE NATIVE AMERICANS" is a symbol of how it was and is for them here and now, and then.
