There Is One God

For There is One God. This small wall hanging quilt was made in 1992 using seminole piecing. The seminole tribes of Southeastern Florida in the early 1900s developed this technique. Fabric was scarce so they developed the technique of sewing thin strips of fabric together and then cutting, rearranging, and sewing them back together in any design they wanted. The hand embroidered Bible verse says " For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." 1 Timothy 2:5
