Trip Quilt

"Trip Quilt" 2006. I traced a US map onto cloud fabric to make this quilt as a record of trips we've taken and places we've lived. Hand appliqued flowers. Hand quilted. Beads to mark the trips. A pin with each person's name is on the place they currently are. I should have made a world quilt so I could add our sons travels: Afghanistan, Iraq, Japan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Australia, Cambodia, and Turkey.
