Church Today

     I wound up skipping church today 
I had no excuse, but I do have this to say 
Praise The Lord 
     I can close my eyes right now
And be in the pew ready to kneel down 
That’s my reward 
     I wound up staying home this morning 
I’m not proud because I live in His Glory 
I should have been there
     I’ll be sure to go to church next week
Although I’ve heard it’s not a place or a seat 
It’s just a sweet and simple prayer
