Poem -

Waiting For Midnight

you've waited patiently for midnight
to be the first to catch tomorrow
you want to beg it not to visit
you are unprepared you say

you've waited all your life for midnight
shovel cradled in your arms
you are back and blue defeated
you've searched a world to find no balms

you have waited for tomorrow
to be the first for this last one
your soul requests no more todays
please
it is over now...it's done

I'm pretty much with Greg on this one M ..
Midnight & significant other situations, circumstances and events may indeed have been the prime motivation and indeed inspiration for this most tangibly poignant of posts ..
ButĀ I sense it is the void of approaching day and in particular, that of early mourning, that each serves to hurt the most ..
