Another year over.
Another one begun.
Nothing ever changes.
People are still killed by a bullet from a gun.
A happy new year for some it might be.
But for some they’ll still be imprisoned enslaved and unfree.
One year ends.
And the next one happiness it pretends.
Nothing ever changes.
Only catastrophes every year arranges.
The planet earth still turns at high speed.
And its people still turn hungrier for greed.
