Respirator Blues

You need to see to believe
Have you seen the life I used to leadĀ Ā ?
Untold tears that stain and bleedĀ
You wouldn't believe half the shit I've seen
Hard to find a breath to breatheĀ

Don't look twice it'll flash in front of your lifeĀ
All the conquest and all the strifeĀ
Every time peace held the knifeĀ
Dumbfounded now trapped in a lairĀ
Grasping writhing fighting for airĀ

It's hard to look when you glance to the groundĀ
You ask for my story this is my soundĀ
You don't want more I can see the trepidationĀ
Cutting back into the rocks of alienationĀ
One day someone else can be my respirationĀ
Ā
