Knowing I Saw Enough

Knowing I Saw Enough

Eyes so tired

eyes so tired

of seeing the same waste

every day

day in day out

these eyes ache to see more

something different

something new

something of pleasure

nothing of blue

but I am afraid

I am so afraid

that these eyes will fall asleep

one night, for the very last time

never to see the bright

they so long to see

I want to die with a smile

I want to die

knowing I saw enough.

Wow...really difficult to find space here. Shirley I love this...the bullet sentences, the meaning of your words, i find as we age we do get tired and also incredibly sad that the 'freshness' of life has evaporated. I think possibly the greatest treasure in.life is the ability to experience  once again the flower...with our 2 year old eyes. Wonderful.x

Thank you dear Marion, indeed I wasn't expecting all the unexpected comments and poems on my page especially as they were put here by accident, lol but I truly thank you for scrolling enough to leave such a wonderful review my friend. Thank you. 🌹
